Just to make it all clear, there are two different fees that have to be paid whilst living in halls. 

1) Hall subs, which can be paid prior to coming to DC on lufbra.net using the eshop facility. This goes towards making your DC experience even better. It will be used to make your freshers weeks the best of your life and also used throughout the year to help with improving your time in halls. (i.e The common room facilities such as the pool table, sky box, table tennis table etc)

2) Room bond, which must be paid prior to coming to DC via the lboro.ac.uk. This should be returned to you at the end of the year but is kept as precaution in case any damages are incurred to the hall.
