Message from Sport Secs

Hey Freshers :)

We are your sport secs for your first year at Loughborough! Our main aim is to get as many of you involved in playing in the Intramural Sport (IMS) system as possible. The IMS scheme at Loughborough is massive and gives you the chance to try out new sports as well as play the ones you love. From Fencing and Waterpolo to Netball and Football.. IMS has it all!

IMS is about competing against the other halls on campus in 40 different sports, therefore our job is not only to get a squad together it is just as important to get as many people out to support our teams and make as much noise as possible. This means even if you are not the sporty type you can still come along and support hall mates and get involved in IMS in a different way. Hall spirit is high in DC and getting yourself involved in at least one team is a great idea to get an even better social experience in DC.

Loughborough is the best place to be to get involved with sport so make the most of the great facilities available. However, if you happen to require information about University trials do not hesitate to ask one of us. 

All four of us are approachable friendly characters so do not hesitate to come and speak to us about anything involving freshers, we will always be happy to help!
