PAAR stands for Placement, Alumni, Affiliates and Returners. The job of the PAAR rep is to make sure these groups are properly represented and included in hall activities.

When you leave DC, you can still come back and get involved even if you move to town. But make sure you pay your £10 affiliate fee to cover any events you come back and join in with. The fee also means you can participate in DC IMS events even though you no longer live in DC.

FREEC stands for Food, Residential, Ethics, Environment, Campus watch.

Your FREEC rep will do everything to promote all areas of sustainability around the hall and make sure we all do our part to GO GREEN! The more you do, the more individual points you get, which will count towards you becoming a Fresher helper next year (another year of Free Freshers Fortnight!)

There are many things around the hall that you can do to ensure you do your part to promote DC’s Go Green campaign. You can take part in the various blackouts that will be organized through the year. You can ensure you switch off all unnecessary lights and water taps when not in use. Recycling is something that is so easy and yet so important for us. The more you recycle, the more points DC gets towards the total for the Enviro League.
